Graduation

Well it is finally over, John graduated a couple of weeks ago from his WIC course . The graduation was in Las Vegas so that was lots of fun and we got to dress up which was fun for me. We shopped and ate great food. I was so proud of him, so many people came up to me to tell me how wonderful he is and what an awesome job he did in the class. It was alot of work and a huge accomplishment, I was am so happy to call myself, Mrs. John Poole.

Christmas Lane

This last weekend our church in Little Rock had an event called Christmas Lane. It is always so fun, but of course even better now that Britton is so excited about it all. We went on Friday night and Sunday night. He got to see Santa, ride on a real train that some men in the church built it is amazing. He kept renaming the train according to what color car we were ridding on. You know our world revolves around Thomas the train. He rode the ponies and loved the big blow up characters. It is all free family fun and an outreach to the city. We have a very giving church in LR and it is amazing to see all the new ways they come up with to reach the lost.

Circus Time

Well the circus was in town this weekend and my brother got Britton and I tickets for the show tonight. We had a great time, it was a little different then the other circus performances we have been to. Before the show, the kids got to go down on the floor and do all this cool stuff. Britton got to swing on the trapeze, walk on the tightrope, and play with hula hoops. There were other opportunities that he didn't think looked as much fun. He of course begged for cotton candy and when I bought the $10 bag he spit it out and said yuck! Oh well he got a cute hat out of the deal. The white tigers were my favorite, all the light up toys were Brittons, Ha.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving with lots to be thankful for, we spent the day at my Aunt Marian's house which is always special. Britton had fun playing with his cousins Madison and Robert, and of course uncle Dustin.I made homemade mac and cheese for the first time and it was pretty good, but Aunt Marians cranberry ice is always the best! Britton is loving getting ready for Christmas I will have to post some of his Christams pics later. We went to our friends house Thanksgiving night and he got to make his first patch of Christmas cookies this season. Black Friday was great at our house I got sooo many good deals. Well that's all for now, we are thankful for all our friends and family and mostly our Lord who gives us so many blessings everyday.

B R I T T O N

Britton learned how to spell his name, YEA!! We practiced for a couple of days in the car and boom he could spell it. Someone asked him today how did he get to be so smart, at first he pointed at me and then he said "God". It was so precious, what a gift.

Breakfast with Santa

This morning we got to go and eat breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Britton was a little nervous about actually talking to them, but as they came around to tables he did speak to them and we got a few pics none very good though:(. I tried to explain that Santa had a wife and that is who the lady with him was and that Santa's last name is Claus so she is Mrs. Claus, but he stuck with "Mrs. Santa". It was lots of fun and great food from Chick-Fil-A, which we love. We didn't get his offical picture made yet because I want him to feel a little more comfortable before we do that. I think this is going to be a great Christmas though he is so excited already and he has learned the words to "Away in the Manger" and "Jingle Bells". I can't wait to see what all this Holiday season has in store for us.

A beautiful fall day

Last week John was home and we tried to fit in lots of family fun, he was super excited about all of it. (ok maybe not all of it) On Tuesday after MDO we went over to Burns Park, a park where I used to play when I was a kid. We all had so much fun, they had a new rocket slide that was a little scary it was soooo fast. It was just a wonderful day and wonderful memeories.

Fall Fun Night

Hey everyone, can you believe it is November? We have had a very fun filled week, John was in Little Rock so we got to do some many family things. Here are a few pics from Friday night. First we went trick or treating with some friends, they were so cute and just took such good care of B. Then we went to Family Fun Night at our church, Britton was a dinosaur, there was a little controversy over his costume. We had a great night, having Britton just makes everything more special and fun.

Roller Coasters

Britton and I went to the fair on Monday, we had a great time. On the way there he told me he wanted to ride on the roller coaster, I don't know how he knew about roller coasters, but he rode them and loved it. I thought he would get scared, but he just wanted to do it again, I did put him on a big slide that he rode on a little slippery mat, he was in tears when he got off. But he just said that was scary, let's do it again. My little boy is just growing up and reminding of how big he is everyday, I keep thinking this is my favorite stage of his life then we start another. The pictures are not great, but I had to take them fast so I could jump on the ride with him, he is sooo fun!

Think Pink

Today was the Race For the Cure in Little Rock. I have walked, let me stress walked in this race for a few years now, but never like today. I walked by myself, had tons of friends there, but among the other fifty thousand women I couldn't find them. This was the first time I have walked in the race while personally knowing someone who is fighting this battle of breast cancer. It was overwhelming to see so many people in one place together for one cause, such a feeling of unity, but I just wondered about how my friends felt. They are not like me just walking for a cause I feel strongly about, they are walking for their lives, fighting something, that seems so much bigger than we are. We seem small, weak, I mean pink not a very threating color. Cancer is big, mean, stronger than we are, right? Then I thought about God, our great, big Father up in Heaven watching down on us, He is bigger, stronger than cancer! I pray for my courageous friends one who is in remission , one about to start chemo, remember our God, your God is bigger than this disease. I am so proud of you and love you so much.

Apple Picking

Well we tried to go pick apples today, but we failed. Apparently they said they were saving all apples for the school field trips, I was like well grow more apples next time, but oh well. We still had fun and we got to pick some other fruit that I can't even begin to spell, they were kinda like grapes.
Britton ate half of them before we could get them weighed, he really liked them. It was our friend, Bethany's birthday, it was a beautiful day to be outdoors with friends.

A Day Out With Thomas

We went to ride on the "real" Thomas this weekend in Oklahoma City. It was so much fun Britton was sooo excited to see his cousins Marin and Cooper and Thomas. They got to ride on Thomas, jump in bounce houses, get tattoos, balloon animals, play miniature golf so much fun stuff to do. It was a great trip and cool exhibit, thanks for inviting us aunt KK.
